Predictions for Alpha and Beta Generations

People born between 2010–2025 are called Generation Alpha.

People born between 2025–2040 will be Generation Beta

The Alphas were born in a fully digital, tech savvy world and are growing up with AI, smart technology and social media from birth. This shapes their character, intelligence, emotions, needs, and emotional, mental and social personality completely differently and in unusual ways which Millennials and Boomers struggle to comprehend.
The least to say is: Alphas are, and will be, relentlessly tech savvy, fiercely tech driven, and painfully tech dependent.
  1. By age 3 years, most Alpha kids can fully and deftly operate a smart phone, laptop, mouse, remote, smart tv and perform basic operations such as opening new tabs, swiping, deleting, liking, sharing, calling, ordering, Whatsapping, YouTubing, video sharing, picture taking, recording, etc etc.
  2. Robots, computers, Apps, AI assistants and technology are already their toys and pets.
  3. Their screen and all that they see in them seems to them more like same-age friends, friend-teachers, extended family members and similar to having babysitters. In coming times, AI assistance, Siri, Alexa may well seem like invisible but highly effective, indispensable personal assistants finds or family members to them actively competing and overrunning extended family members.
  4. Mobile Apps for learning/discovering/mastering everything from language to astronomy rules their day. They are more friendly with choosing-pressing buttons and keys than any other manuel system.
  5. Traditional schools might disappear.
With more Online learning, learning apps/website, avid interest in diverse and indirect learning through educational games for all ages, acquiring many formal degrees may soon be rendered useless.
  6. Hand writing will become obsolete.
Typing, texting will become faster and more efficient. They may still have to learn alphabets though.
  7. They will perhaps never need to learn driving due to self driving technology growing exponentially. They will likely find car sharing, car pooling, faster/more efficient public transport much more attractive. Owning a personal car or a house/property will be regarded as an unnecessary burden.
  8. Public transport will become faster and easier rendering owning private vehicle mostly unnecessary.
  9. They will likely never cook. With Microwaves, air fryers, emerging newer cooking technology, ready to eat, store brought instant foods, take away eating joints, online food-ordering will eliminate traditional kitchen and traditional cooking from their lives.
  10. They will have jobs that do not exist yet;
While traditional jobs like storekeepers, cashiers, sales person etc will disappear..
By 2040, 65% of today's kids will work in careers such as AI police/Detective, AI ethicists, space miners, and brain-computer interface designers.
  11. They will likely have diseases, deformities, disorders, treatments, and therapies that we don't know of, as yet.
They will likely never know physical pain.
The same can be said about their committing unusual crimes with unusual motives, creative hacks, unheard of rules, unconventional remedies and uncanny ambitions that we don't know yet.
Think about movie Inception as an example.
  12. They will likely never use physical money.
Many will never have to carry cash, debit cards, or credit cards. Digital currencies, crypto, and AI-driven financial tools will dominate their transactions.
  13. They will be the most ethnically and culturally diverse generations ever with most being mixed race, mixed colour and multilingual by default.
  14. They will likely participate in space tourism, visit moon and Mars.
  15. Their world will be much healthier than ours today with decreasing pollution, decreasing plastic, greener energy, less and less carbon foot print, meat alternatives and electric powered vehicles.
  16. Mentally, they will mature earlier and faster, displaying a spectacular blend of aged wisdom and youthful adventurous behaviour.
  17. They will live longer, look incredibly younger due to anti-ageing/ age-reversal/ plastic treatments, and carry a decidedly higher mental age.
  18. Fertility, birthrate and romantic attachments will sharply decline. They will reject parenthood, family life, marriage, live-in relationships, parents, children and adopt a digital nomadic lifestyle, forming fewer close relationships and staying indifferent, disinterestedly distant to most, however forming closer partnerships online.
  19. Consumption of electricity, internet, drugs, medicines, and energy will be the highest.
  20. Gold is already/will be completely dethroned by other precious metals such as Rhodium, Iridium and Palladium.

This is predicted for Beta Generation:

  1. Brain chips might let them control devices with their minds.
  2. Robots and AI assistants could become their everyday companions.
  3. Holograms will replace screens. They will be able to scroll through the internet in the air.
  4. They will never experience buffering or slow internet due to quantum computing and 6G.
  5. They might not use passwords! Face scans, voice ID, or even DNA authentication will replace them.
  6. Instead of black, white and brown, they will be all mostly uniformly brown. Different cultures will intermingle and will become hard to tell from one another.
  7. Fertility and baby birth will start becoming rare.
  8. Books, libraries, schools, teachers will disappear. It will be possible to learn without them.
  9. Religion and God might cease to exist.
  10. They may grow extra limb or extra organ.
Starting from hunting gathering, humans have indeed come a long way, but there's no telling how further we can go. Ultimately, there must come a time, when either the earth falls too small for our needs, or we, having attained everything, lose our desire to live and are annihilated by our own doings.
Who is to say..?

But that's just my opinion. Thanks for reading.
